EMERGENCY INFORMATION NOTIFICATIONS AND ZONE HAVEN
Dear Silverado Residents,
The Silverado Fire Safe Council is recommending that the community residents sign up for two types of emergency alerts and access one information website. The two applications are free and provide valuable and slightly different information all of which can be accessed on your cell phone.
NIXLE – NIxle /Advisories Napa County
Nixle advisories provide timely mechanism of emergency and community messages to Napa County residents. These messages contain valuable information in three categories: community, advisory, and alert. They are messages from the county emergency operations center.
Watch Duty - Watching Over California 24/7
Watch Duty is a non-profit wildfire alerting, mapping, and tracking service operated by experienced fire reporters and many other collaborators who diligently monitor radio scanners and other data sources 24/7. We have created dozens of internal collaboration tools from messaging to alerting systems to be notified of every fire start across the great state of California. At any given time, there are a half-dozen reporters monitoring everything. Rest assured that we are always on watch duty, and we will keep you up to date when it matters most.
