Mission

MISSION  statement

The name of this non-profit public benefit corporation is the “Silverado Property Owners Association, Inc.” (SPOA) which is organized under the nonprofit public benefit corporation law for charitable purposes. SPOA Directors are also the Directors of the Silverado Community Service District (SCSD).
 
PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVE:
The purpose of SPOA is to promote the social welfare of owners of property within the Silverado Development Area and Silverado Trail residential area in Napa, California, to promote the common good and general welfare of the people owning property within said areas, and shall be operated to bring about civic betterments and social improvements; and, to promote and protect property rights, privileges and values for all property owners within those areas.  To that end SPOA shall:
  1. Encourage all property owners in the aforesaid areas to become members of the
Association.
  1. Encourage members to recommend improvements for the quality of life at Silverado.
  2. Represent the Silverado Development Area and Silver Trail property owners before local or other outside government agencies, and before the owners and management of the Silverado Resort & Spa, and, as appropriate, with the Napa County Board of Directors on matters of mutual concern.
  3. Investigate, as appropriate, Members’ complaints and concerns.
  4. Initiate measures to encourage corrective action by the Board of Directors, owners and Management, as well as Napa County and other outside agencies.
  5. Keep all members properly informed of the activities of SPOA.
  6. Initiate landscaping activities for the purpose of maintaining and enhancing the 22 islands and other designated areas for the on-going beautification of our community.
 
 LIMITATIONS:
SPOA is not organized for the private gain of any person.  No part of the funds or assets of SPOA shall inure to the benefit of any individual member of SPOA.
